Jake Heinz is Kastle Systems’ Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for connecting the innovations of the company’s product organization to the customer-focused operations of the business units to build awareness and drive customer preference through all channels. In this role, Heinz oversees the management of Kastle’s brand, including consumer insights, digital marketing, creative development, demand generation, marketing effectiveness and strategic communications.
Heinz joined Kastle in July 2019 to take on the chief marketing role. This is his third CMO role in a highly technical environment, having served previously as the chief marketing officer for Verizon Business Markets, a B2B focused Verizon business unit, and prior to Verizon as chief marketing officer for XO Communications, an Icahn Enterprises held telecommunications carrier.
A native of the Washington DC area, Heinz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, serving on active duty on two destroyers before starting his career in the technology sector at MCI. He went on to serve in executive roles in operations, engineering and sales at multiple startups and completed a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife Megan and their four children.
