Recognized as one of Greater Washington’s leading corporate supporters of area non-profits
FALLS CHURCH, VA (November 17, 2016) – Emphasizing its commitment to the community, managed security leader Kastle Systems announced today that it has been recognized as one of Greater Washington’s leading corporate supporters of area non-profits. As a company that places a premium on service, Kastle looks for opportunities to give back to the community. Kastle and its employees support a number of worthy causes such as So Others Might Eat (SOME) food kitchen, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Toys for Tots, Higher Achievement, Wounded Warriors and the annual MS Walk to fight Multiple Sclerosis. In 2014, Kastle launched Capital Shield, a public-private partnership that unites the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) with commercial property owners, businesses and institutions around a common goal – protecting Washington, D.C. Through this program, participants can help enhance public safety by providing the MPD with direct access to their security cameras, enabling first responders to quickly gain the situational awareness required to assist citizens during emergency situations.

To further their charitable initiatives in 2017, Kastle has challenged its employees to increase their volunteer hours and enabled them to do so during paid working hours. Kastle will continue to donate funds to charitable local organizations and facilitate city-wide participation in the Capital Shield public safety initiative.
