JOB TITLE: Web Back End Developer

Job Description:

As a key member of our software infrastructure team, you will develop and maintain our internal and external websites. The emphasis is on back end development but there is some front end work as well. The job is ideal for someone looking for open-ended technical challenges in an evolving business.

Specific Functions:

Develop XML Back End interface for new web applicatons
Revise the back end and user interface for selected existing internal and external web applications
Maintain the company intranet as required
Assist in web application problem determination as required

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

Expert knowledge of XML, Schemas, WSDL, SOAP, SQL, Ajax
Experience with Javascript, CSS, ASP, .NET, PHP and regular expressions
Experience with building web services
Experience with Windows web development environments and tools including Visual Studio 2008 and XMLSPY
Experience with SQL and database performance issues. Experience with MS SQL Server and database integration desirable

Other:

Ability to thrive in a self-starter environment, achieving results on timeline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience building distributed web applications that increase the productivity of internal and external users a plus
B.Sc. or greater in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
5 Years of professional software development experience
