POSITION: Security Installation Technician
Job Description:
Assist in all phases of installing, testing, and troubleshooting security and access control systems in Washington metropolitan area office buildings.
Specific Functions:
Install, test, and troubleshoot new access control and security systems.
Document completed work accurately and consult with a supervisor to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain company owned vehicles, tools, equipment and individual tool issue.
Maintain and protect building keys to customer buildings.
Interface with customers as necessary to install and test equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
Work history must display stability and good attendance.
Previous construction or electronics experience; security experience helpful.
Hands on experience with hand and power tools.
Basic knowledge of AC and DC theory.
Previous professional experience in the construction trade.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and carry tools and equipment not to exceed seventy five pounds.
Must be able to distinguish colors.
Must be able to interface and communicate with customers and co workers in a clear and professional manner.
Neat, professional appearance.
Willingness to accept responsibility and carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision.
Ability to follow the installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures outlined by Kastle Systems LLC.
Desire and ability to work well with others.
Self-motivation.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be available to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends.
Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
No history of criminal convictions.
