Preventive Maintenance Field Technician

 

Basic Function:

 

Perform preventive maintenance inspection and system checks of Kastle Access Control and Security Systems. Test all control devices and monitored points. Identify and replace worn or damaged equipment.  Verify system documentation for accuracy. Document all discrepancies and corrections needed as they are identified.

 

   

Accountabilities:

• Test Kastle equipment for proper operation

• Test access control components including readers, locks, and keyswitches

• Test elevator communication equipment

• Test fire alarm monitoring points

• Update floor plans and hardware information

• Troubleshoot and resolve systems problems

• Upgrade existing equipment to current revision levels

• Document building equipment configuration

• Maintain vehicle tools and parts inventory

• Other duties as assigned

 

 

Knowledge:

• Thorough understanding of KM-10 and Quad equipment and associated devices

• Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical theory

• Working knowledge of the Kastle System

 

Experience:

Successful candidates should also have the following qualifications and experience:

• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and carry tools and equipment not to exceed fifty pounds

• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools and multi-meters

• Must have experience installing or servicing Kastle equipment

 

Other:

• Ability to work independently 

• Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Neat, professional appearance

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Available to work nights, holidays, and overtime

• Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen

• No history of criminal convictions

• Pre-employment drug test required
